This is the website dedicated to February 2010, a month in which many, many people donated a grand total of £325.01 towards AutismUK and my hair… They were in two camps, people campaigning to CUT it and people campaigning to KEEP it. CUT one with £200.01 to £120, with £5 being donated to KEEP and £10 being donated to CUT after the deadline.
The man who actually did the cutting, whilst I was en route to uni
versity, was Mr Simon Fordham of the Cutting Club in Lewes. He did a great job and I thoroughly recommend him!
So thanks to everybody who donated so much! Thanks to Keith, the inside man at AutismUK for adapting their own website to promote the idea and to keep track of the donations submitted online and Thanks again to The Cutting Club for cutting my hair to a suitable style after more than 13 years… Here are some picture, please click on a thumbnail to enlarge it.
Thanks once again to everybody who donated, helped out or made a suggestion. If I manage to offload the hair onto a wigmaker (I have it in a bag at the minute…) I’ll post that story here as well. This site is now archived and you can no longer comment on the blog or donation pages, but you can still donate, not for this idea but directly to AutismUK. I’m sure they’d appreciate it. You can also, if you so wish, comment on this page.
Thank you and, as always,
Keep Smiling,
Sebastian.
xx

Dear Sebastian,
A very clever way to raise money for a campaign. I have heard of people shaving their heads, cutting their hair, and doing rather bizarre things to raise money but a battle between people who do or don’t want you to cut your hair is remarkably unique.
Good Luck With It All,
Anna Baker.
